As part of the celebrations for its 50 years, Fomento Cultural Citibanamex presents the book México 1521-1821. A nation is forged. This includes 41 widely illustrated articles, written by 38 national and international authors and researchers, in which 300 years of Mexican history are analyzed in depth, from the conquest of Mexico-Tenochtitlán in 1521, to the entry of the Triguarante Army and the consummation of Independence in 1821.

Under the general direction of Cándida Fernández de Calderón and the academic coordination of Cristina Torales Pacheco, Guadalupe Jiménez Codinach and María Teresa Franco, this project seeks to make a serious and conciliatory historical review of the conquest, the three centuries of viceroyalty, the war of independence and the birth of our nation.
